Sometimes I have written about auto back up in tally a very much-needed feature in day-to-day accounting work. Though myself had not realized this feature’s importance. I just had set up auto back option but never explored full features of the same. you can set up auto-back in tally.erp 9 at any time while creating a new company or by altering an existing company
Only yesterday I thought what will happen if I have to restore the back up in case of some data corruption. Then I make a little search and I found this interesting stuff how auto back and restore facility in tally works out.
As we have already seen how to set up auto back and once it had set up then the Tally.erp 9 will take back up on its own in a background without your involvement. and every voucher you will save will back up in a background environment. Again the system will give you different restore point at any point of given time when you need to restore it.
Whenever you want to restore it, go to main menu of tally and select Alt + Ctr +K

You will get various restore point. please note that in real company data there will be more restore point.
you can select an appropriate restore point and your data will be restore.
This facility is available with for Release 2 and onwards Taly.erp 9 only.
I love this feature very much as now I don’t need to take manual back up.
