Hi Mahendrasinh Sir! I am sure you know me quite well from FB. I am an Accounting & Finance Pro like you and passionate about ERP Softwares and Apps for SMEs or SMBs as some call them. I fell in love with Tally.ERP 9 in 2013 when I first had the opportunity of making a DEMO on it. There has been no looking back since then and I have made partnerships and friendships all over the world with people who share similar passions like mine. I like reading, travelling and hanging out with friends in the evening when u can.

Hello My Best Guru Mahendra (who is very kind)……….
I am Mira, as we have met each other through skype. I fell in love with Tally around 2002 or 2003 and it was newly develop, but it was great already….. As I worked in several company, usually working for a Multinational Company, I started in Coopers and Lybrand as an auditor, as I am a graduate from Sydney University Australia, Indonesia does not recognize my degree as a BEc major in Accounting. So there is no way I can become an Public Accountant, so after experiencing working in Sydney for one year and I went home in Indonesia and still working as an Auditor. Then I realized I have to go back to University for 2 years and plus take Public Accounting, I could not afford. By the way the reason I could be able to be educated in Australia was because my father was Trade Attache, so he is a diplomat. He works for Indonesian government, but he is very straight, so he cannot left me in Indonesia as it would cost us more. While if I went to Sydney Uni, it only cost me around A$50, while if I stayed in Indonesia it cost my father arms and legs. He is not a corrupt person….. So you know how it is….. When I finished my Bachelor degree, I had to work as he had to finance my 2 brothers A$50 p.a and it was alot for him… I started working in 1982 as part time Auditor. And went home in 1983…. It was tough to live alone in big city like Jakarta. But, it is live… Anyway, after I know I don’t have any future as an Auditor, I was offer to move to the division of MIS, and I like it. I was working for 2 Australian designing a big system for Indonesian Electricity Co owned by the Government (PLN). I liked it…. Then people started to know about me, so many Australian companies offer me a job, usually company with financial or accounting problem… When I was 27 years old I became a CFO of PT Rheem, manufacturing company…. Usually after I finished setting up their system, I get bored, and I created a system called 2IC (2nd In Command) in this system I always train my direct sub ordinate to understand my job as a CFO who has to be responsible of both accounting and treasury. So it was easy for me to move to another company without putting the company I left at risk. I think I should cut this introduction short. Anyway after that I worked for L’oreal Shampoo company another manufacturing as again CFO….. Then due to my father being very ill with Brain cancer I quit the job after a couple years and look for a Independent Consulting Job, so I worked for Crown Pacific as Consultant fixing their accounting system, Finance and also installing computerized accounting system. It took me only a year there. To train, and create system, write SOP etc the usual thing. My father passed away then I started looking for a full time Job… I got a job at a paint company called Wattyl – Dimet, Australian American Co. Producing mainly anti corrosive paint and a little bit of regular paint. Here my career went shooting up from being CFO for a year, then I learned by reading marketing and business book and I became a President Director of this company, 400 workers, only 5 women, 3 in customer services and one as a secretary and the other one was me…….. I stayed there for a while. But, that business is men business, and mostly B2B type of business, chasing big projects. Then after a while again, it wasn’t challenging enough. And I was being offered to be a CFO of Nabisco Indonesia…… When I was offer, the company just started, we call it GREEN FIELD stage. As you don’t have anything except dreams….. You have to do market research, look for place to build the factory etc. So I jump to that ship as it is very challenging, beside it is a retail type of products… I started from the scratched looking for system, nothing is good enough. But I have to choose something which is not up to my standard. I have not found Tally then…. Again, I was doing well there, the company was preparing me to be come the next President Director for the company. But, you can plan, but there is a power above us, decided something My health started playing again. So I have to choose to enjoy my life or keep working hard (it is my hobby). I resigned due to I was very tired, what I learned here is that you have to balance your life between work and other things. I did not do it, so by 40 years old I was burned. Especially working for US company, it is just like 24 hours, as the time differences is exactly 12 hours. At eleven o’clock at night New York called. As CFO I have all the information on my finger tips, so they called me….. I got burned and too tired to work I decided to work for an NGO which my friends and I established 7 years prior the time I resigned from Nabisco. I did not work full time but part time. So a great number of NGOs called me and ask for my help. I cannot stand not doing anything. So I become an Independent Business Management Consultant. Sometimes paid sometime volunteers. Then I really looked for a real accounting system I found the best ever …. drum rolls please it is TALLY…….. It was very expensive but I bought it anyway as I helped 3 or 4 NGO’s. I provided accounting service for those NGOs and several companies. Since then I never go back to work. I keep studying by reading, learn tally. Go to Google, one day I found Mahendra’s website. And I followed his writing, tutorials and that how I become better in Tally. So here I am proudly, become officially his student……… And without thinking I just signed up…. Before that because I never did any of his tutorial, he asked me whether I wanted to stay or still interested to learn from what he wrote. I was basically begging him not to kick me out of his tutorial group. I look around for people who share their knowledge about TALLY……. I come into conclusion, only one that is MAHENDRA…… So I signed up……. I am honor to be your student Mahendra. And he is so kind, he trusted that even I am old but I am going to keep on studying……. Firstly, THANK YOU MAHENDRA FOR ACCEPTING AS YOUR STUDENG AND THANK YOU every body for reading my so called introduction as long as a novel…..plus…… Welcome to the MAHENDRA course……

  6. Hello Mira,
Thank you so much for writing about you. Your life and struggle story is really impressive as well as very interesting. I believe we are in the same boat. I too loves setting up system in companies, train the people, make everything in order and then I feels boring as lack of challenge once everything runs smoothly and so, I leave that organisation and join another one!

I feels now I got a life time challenging task that is training as every people works in a different environment having different sets of goals, challenges and situation and so Helping and training them will be a never ending fun and challenging for me

Let’s see what the destiny brings for all of us.
